Overview

Level 16 — Hill Houses — features a day-night cycle that fundamentally changes gameplay. During the day, you travel. At night, you hide. The ultimate goal: reach the floating castle and defeat the Animated King.

Walkthrough

The Day-Night Cycle

• Day (~3 min): Safe to travel. The Animation entity is inactive.
• Night (~1 min): The Animation hunts all players outdoors. Hide in houses or closets.
• Audio cues (bells, atmospheric changes) signal night approaching.

Stage 1: Reaching the Castle

1. Move toward the floating castle visible in the distance during the day.
2. Use trucks to speed up travel — but get out before night.
3. Hide in houses or closets at night. Trucks are NOT safe.
4. It typically takes 2-3 day cycles to reach the castle.

Stage 2: The Animated King Boss Fight

1. The King only attacks when your back is turned.
2. Solve a block puzzle: push blocks onto matching floor symbols (Star, Circle, Square, Combined).
3. Walk backward while moving between puzzle elements.
4. You must survive 100 seconds total.
5. In co-op: one player watches the King while others solve the puzzle.

Pro Tips

• Day = safe to travel (~3 min). Night = hide immediately (~1 min).
• Trucks speed up travel but are NOT safe at night.
• Audio cues signal night approaching — get inside when you hear them.
• In the castle: WALK BACKWARD when moving between puzzle blocks.
• Co-op: one player watches the King, others solve the puzzle.
• Closets are the safest night hiding spots.
