Darkened Suburbs

Overview

Level 10 — The Darkened Suburbs — is one of the most mechanically complex levels. You face three threat types simultaneously: the sky-patrolling Neighborhood Watch (instant death if spotted outdoors), 6 Wretches roaming the streets, and Male Deathmoths in specific areas.

Walkthrough

Stage 1: Activate the Computers

1. Activate 3 computers in different houses.
2. Use porches to move between houses — porch roofs block the Eye's vision.
3. Lock doors behind you — Wretches can enter unlocked doors.

Surviving the Neighborhood Watch

• The Watch is a giant eye in the sky with a sweeping beam.
• NEVER stand in open areas — streets, front yards without porch cover.
• Watch the sky for the beam pattern. Move when it passes.

Stage 2: Trap a Wretch

1. Collect 4 cans of Almond Concentrate in the post-gate area.
2. Use concentrate to bait a Wretch into a freezer.
3. Use a propane tank to freeze the Wretch.
4. Loot the keycard to unlock the exit.

Pro Tips

• ALWAYS use porches to move between houses — never walk in the open.
• Lock every door — Wretches enter unlocked houses.
• Watch the sky for the Eye's beam pattern before moving.
• In co-op: one player watches the sky while others search houses.
